Shoeshine Records - began releasing indie/pop rock vinyl singles in the summer of 1996. Artists include Speedboat, Cheeky Monkey, Michael Shelley,  Ben Vaughn, BMX Bandits, Kim Fowley, Boa Morte, The Beauty Shop, Major Matt Mason USA, Schwervon!, Nice Man, Alex Chilton, Astro Chimp and Frank Blake.


Spit & Polish - launched four years later, kicked off with the debut album by Laura Cantrell "Not The Tremblin' Kind", described by the late, legendary DJ John Peel as "my favourite album of the last 10 years and possibly my life". Albums followed from country/roots/folk artists uch as Radio Sweethearts, John Herald, Steve Young, Tom Armstrong, Paul Burch, Amy Allison, Amy Rigby, She-Haw, Jason Ringenberg, Karine Polwart and Emily Smith.


Most recently Spit & Polish - in conjunction with Cadiz Music - has released albums by the wonderful Scots Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis and NY's finest Laura Cantrell
